Enjoy a full day on the outer Great Barrier Reef, including snorkelling at two stunning reef locations, optional introductory or certified scuba diving, semi submarine tours plus a barbecue buffet lunch. This package also includes a 10 minute scenic flight on board a luxury helicopter over North Hastings Reef.

  • Check-in is from 7.15am at Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns. Please make your way to the Down Under Cruise and Dive counter to check-in. Boat departs at 8.00am sharp.
  • Due to comfort, weight and balance of the aircraft, the weight limit for helicopters is 130kg. Please contact the supplier directly for further information.
  • All divers are required to complete a Medical Questionnaire. In our commitment to the safety of our guests, divers over 65 years must have a medical clearance with a physician the confirms they are Fit To Dive. This can be provided by your own GP before you leave for your holiday. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and/or prescription medication may prevent some people from diving.
  • For Certified Diving, evidence of dive certification is required from all divers wishing to participate in a certified dive.
  • Children aged and under 12 years (introductory) and 10 years (certified divers) are not permitted to participate in onboard diving activities as per Queensland Australian Law.
  • Children under the age of 18 must be in the immediate company of a parent or legal guardian.
  • Diving within 24 hours before your flight is not permitted.
  • Special dietary requirements must be confirmed at least 24 hours prior to travel directly with the tour operator. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options are available.
  • $20 per person admin/fuel levy (to be paid direct prior to travel if purchased prior to July23 2021)

    These guys were perfect so nice , and such good customer service like for lunch and all that , really good instructions for activity work and such more , without that crew I don’t think it would be fun ! So hats down to them !

    We had the most beautiful and memorable day out with family exploring the wonder of the world the great barrier reef. Staff was so helpful and friendly they made our trip so easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend to all family and friends

    Flight was cancelled on the day due to lack of interest which was disappointing but I got a refund. Contingent plan was doing extra dives which were great. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend and go again!

    Crew was fun and helpful. Loved the helicopter flight and, of course, the reef was spectacular! Also enjoyed the all you can eat lunch...I had 3 plate fulls.

    I is too hard to pick a favourite part of the day. From start to finish the entire experience far exceeded my expectations. Staff were amazing, snorkelling was amazing, helicopter was amazing Next time we holiday in cairns we will be back. Thanks guys

    My girlfriend and I swam with a sea turtle. It is our first time to get this close to a sea turtle. We also love scuba diving.

    The first thing that both my wife and I noticed was the professionalism of this team. The next thing we noticed was the friendliness of the staff. We interacted more with Eddie. He was a great guy and so thoughtful and helpful. He also has a good sense of humour. We visited two different reefs. One was Norman reef and I have forgotten the other reef. The visibility at both reefs was good and there was plenty of aquatic life. The weather was overcast on the day we went and no doubt would have been better with blue skies and sunshine. But despite the gloomy weather, the trip was still very good. On a separate note, I was bitten on the back of my hand by what I believe to be a trigger fish while I was snorkelling. Two weeks on, the back of my hand is still sore and tender. I was taking photos of this fish with my underwater camera and it seemed to get angry with me for following it. I have inserted of a photo of the offending fish. The buffet lunch was plentiful and delicious. The highlight was the 10 minute helicopter ride over the Great Barrier Reef. This was awesome. The only downside was that the 10 minutes seemed to go so fast. My wife and I would like to give a big thank you to all the team at Down Under Cruise and Dive for a great day out!

    What a fantastic day. Couldn't fault a thing. The staff were so happy, helpful and encouraging! Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend this tour.

    Great day. Helicopter and three certified dives. It’s non stop, no time for snorkelling too with this agenda and lunch was pretty empty by the time we got to it BUT we had long and good dives so all worth it. Snorkelles seemed to have fun too. Reef was pretty good and lots of biodiversity, turtles, sharks, cuttlefish, amazing and varied fish, Maori Wrass and knowledgable and fun dive guides, marine biologists, fantastic staff and boat. Well oiled machine! Expensive day but worth it!

    We had such a great experience with this team. They were all fun, accommodating, engaging and organized. They made sure everyone’s safe and yet that everyone gets a fun time with the tour cruise. Excellent service! Our heli scenic flight got cancelled due to the wind that day but they were quick to explain why and suggest how we can get a refund from the agency we booked in. You’re definitely in good hands with this crew.
